Mike Schlauch

Mike oversees all general administration and financial functions for SBC and it’s related entities while assisting Chad and Jamie on Project Management where required.

Prior to meeting Chad and forming SBC in 1997, Mike grew up working summer’s around western Montana for his father’s fence company. A 1984 graduate of MSU in Construction Engineering Technology, Mike spent the next thirteen years working throughout the United States for a heavy industrial construction company, managing projects in the mining, utility, manufacturing and refining industries.

With the opportunity to return to his native Montana, Mike and his wife Tracy have enjoyed watching their teenage daughters become young women and start families of their own. With this added “empty nest” free time, he enjoys all the Montana passions that he grew up with, skiing, hiking, fishing & hunting.

Chad Bottcher

Chad is responsible for overall Project Management and field operations concentrating on the Big Sky area while assisting in administrative functions of SBC and related entities where required.

Prior to starting Bottcher Construction in 1996, Chad grew up working summers in Dubois, Wyoming for a local construction company performing carpentry, estimating, drafting and supervision. A 1996 graduate of MSU in Architecture, Chad also worked throughout college and after graduation for a local architecture firm, until the desire to build became to great and ventured out on his own.

Calling Bozeman his home along with his family who followed from Wyoming, Chad and his wife Brenda, when not concentrating on their businesses, enjoy traveling. They enjoy spending most of their free time with their kids Sydney and Brady. Chad also likes to swing the golf club when he can and continues to try and satisfy that itch to design whenever possible.

Jamie Bottcher

Jamie is responsible for overall Project Management and field operations concentrating on the Bozeman and surrounding area while assisting in administrative functions of SBC and related entities where required.

Prior to starting Bottcher Construction in 1996 with his brother Chad, Jamie also grew up working summers in Dubois, Wyoming for the same local construction company performing carpentry and supervision. A 1997 honors graduate of MSU in Civil Engineering, Jamie was integral in helping Chad start Bottcher Construction and then SBC while still in school.

Jamie and his wife Justine, are blessed to have 2 great children Jillian and Alden. While both love to travel and explore, Jamie is on his way to becoming a Master Scuba diver, a challenge in itself in Montana.

Jim Bottcher

Jim brought thirty years of experience in general maintenance, tool repair, finish carpentry, and safety training with him when he joined his sons in Bottcher Construction and expanded with them to SBC.

When Jim isn’t busy helping out in the field and around the office, he spends his time between his favorite TV shows and collecting poker chips and coins. He and his wife, Dian, raised partners Chad and Jamie.
